Menopause is a natural part of a woman’s life cycle. Understand menopause from a Chinese medicine perspective. Discuss the main symptoms of menopause and the various TCM patterns of menopausal symptoms. Further your understanding by learning the correlations with the Extraordinary Vessels Ren Mai, Chong Mai and Dai Mai. Review factors that aggravate symptoms. Consider treatment protocols for various menopausal symptoms and discuss the important Acupoint prescriptions. Finally, practice an Esoteric Acupressure Sequence for treatment to alleviate symptoms and balance the Shen spirit.

- Menopause from a Chinese medicine perspective

- Factors that aggravate the menopausal symptoms
- Importance of the Extra Vessels, Jing and Shen
- Acupressure and Acupuncture treatment protocols
- Practice an Esoteric Acupressure Sequence for treatment to alleviate symptoms and balance the Shen spirit
Teacher Note: As this is the second part in the series program participants must have prior knowledge of the Extraordinary Vessels, or come having learned their pathways and primary access points.

Barbara Blanchard, M.Ac. Lic.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)®, Dipl. ABT (NCCAOM)®, Acupressure Shiatsu AOBTA®-CI Founding Director of the former Acupressure Therapy Institute and AOBTA Certified Instructor of Acupressure, Barbara Blanchard has more than 35 years experience in teaching and developing curriculum. She specializes in Acupressure Shiatsu, Acupoint energetics, traditional Chinese medical theory (TCM), magnet therapy, moxibustion and other adjunct therapies.
Barbara is a dynamic teacher interested in practical application of theory or best clinical results. With a lifelong passion for learning and education, in addition to her private practice in Cambridge, MA. Barbara is one of the three founding teachers and primary mentors for Eastern Medicinal Therapies Education Center (EMTEC).
