Medical Qi Gong for Healthcare Practitioners
and Tuina Treatment Strategies for Cervical Spine and Lumbar Spine
with Bill Helm

Join us this Friday-Sunday, June 21-23, 2019 to learn Medical Qi Gong and Tuina techniques and protocols from Bill Helm, Tuina and Qi Gong Teacher, AOBTA® Certified Instructor, and longtime former Chair of the Massage and Bodywork Program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

The weekend will begin on Friday with a special 8-hour class devoted entirely to Qi Gong practices for health professionals. The  class will focus upon learning specific Qi Gong exercises for strengthening the qi energy field and developing qi sensitivity in the hands for energetic healing applications. Students will learn how to energetically balance the Three Dan Tians, Arm and Leg Channels, and the Du and Ren Channels. The protocols can be used as an adjunct to Asian Bodywork Therapy methods or as a complete energetic treatment.

Saturday will concentrate on identifying structural disorders of the Cervical Spine, and Sunday will concentrate on identifying structural disorders of the Lumbar Spine. Both days participants will learn specific protocols to treat these conditions.

With each session, after an assessment protocol has been presented and the structural disorders identified, Bill will demonstrate specific Tuina sequences, including both oscillating techniques and specific applicable acupoints, to relieve pain and promote healing. All participants will then have time to practice these sequences under Bill's supervision, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and receive direct personal instruction.

Don’t miss this opportunity to study with someone who is not only a great Qi Gong and Tuina practitioner, but also a wonderful teacher.

  • 24 PDA/CEU credits from NCCAOM have been approved, 8 hours each day.

  • 16 PDA/CEU credits from NCBTMB have been approved, 8 hours Saturday and 8 hours Sunday.
Please note, NCBTMB does not give PDA/CEU credit for Qi Gong courses.
