Divergent Channels Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies with Diane Iuliano

Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9:30-5:30 p.m.

Often described as mysterious, Divergent Channels gauge how harmonized we are inside and out. As Divergent Channels pass through the heart, they are uniquely suited to integrate exterior-interior relationships – such as our relationship with the external world to replenish postnatal Qi and Extraordinary Vessels to support our genetic heritage.

This class will integrate Divergent Channels with Extraordinary Vessel polarization therapy.  Participants will learn to cultivate diagnostic skills using Jing wells, pulse and abdominal palpation. Employing these methods often lead practitioners to a unique treatment strategy to expand the range of clinical application, including disorders of the heart such as manic-depression, insomnia and dream-disturbed sleep.

This course has both didactic and practical components.

1.     Understand and execute the sequence and flow of Channel Divergence Therapy
2.     Practice and develop diagnostic skills: observation, auscultation/olfaction, questioning,
pulse and abdominal palpation, therapeutic interaction
3.     Identify diagnostic zones on the hara
4.     Diagnose and Execute Divergent Channel Treatments of Shima, Irie and Naomoto Sensei

Essential Oils and the Divergent Meridians with Dennis Willmont

Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 9:30-5:30 p.m.

This course interprets the Essential Oils in terms of the functional categories of TCM and the Five Phases to show how they can be used to enhance specific treatment protocols with the Divergent Meridians.

Each Phase will be divided into Physical and Psycho-Emotional Presentations with 2-3 oils for each category representing each Phase.  In addition, one oil for each Phase will be singled out for its unique capacity to Empower that Phase because of its ability to unify its physical and psycho-emotional of that Phase and will be discussed in considerable more detail as an example of how each of the oils can be understood.

This course is designed as a lecture, with no practical component.

1.     Introduces twenty-nine essential oils according to the functional categories of TCM and the Five Phases.
2.     Divides each Phase into its Physical and Psycho-Emotional aspects with 2-3 oils for each category in each Phase.
3.     Discusses one oil for each Phase in much more detail as an example of taking these ideas
to the next higher level of understanding.
4.     Demonstrates different ways these essential oils can be used in different protocols for the Divergent Meridians.
