To give students and colleagues the chance to reconnect and celebrate the life and legacy of Barbara, ATI and EMTEC have organized a gathering in advance of the memorial service. For details and to RSVP see below.
We ask that you register in advance so that we can plan accordingly.

Our Celebration of Life and community gathering is meant to give everyone who would like to speak the opportunity to do so. We will wrap up around 2:30 p.m.. to give people time to travel to the MIT Chapel to attend the Memorial.
Ideas about what to share are outlined below.
Community. Who you are, your relationship with Barbara and if you like, your relationship with other members of our community, i.e. ATI, EMTEC, NESA, colleague, client, etc.
Impact. One of the biggest gifts we can give one another is to acknowledge the impact that person had on your life. How has Barbara impacted your life?
Gratitude and Blessing. Harvesting the gifts you have received with an offering of thanks a sowing the seeds for tomorrow by sharing what is your wish for the future?

Barbara Blanchard, M.Ac. Lic.Ac., Dipl. Ac. and Dipl. ABT (NCCAOM)®
Founding Director of the former Acupressure Therapy Institute, Barbara Blanchard taught and designed curriculum for more than 35 years. Barbara specialized in Acupressure Shiatsu, Acupoint Energetics, Traditional Chinese Medical Theory (TCM), Magnet Therapy, Moxibustion and other Adjunct Therapies.
Barbara was a dynamic teacher interested in practical application of theory or best clinical results. With a lifelong passion for learning and education, in addition to her private practice in Cambridge, MA. Barbara was one of the three founding teachers and primary mentors for Eastern Medicinal Therapies Education Center (EMTEC). She will be missed. RIP May 29, 1946 to January 30, 2022
