Osamu Hara Sensei...

has been practicing and teaching in Japan and worldwide for almost 30 years and serves as an Executive Board Member of the Japanese Traditional Acupuncture and Moxabustion Society. Hara Sensei is Executive Vice President of the Shakuju Association, second only to his teacher Kobayashi Sensei in seniority.

Hara Sensei was a student of Kobayashi Sensei, who created Shakuju Therapy, an acu-moxa treatment style based on the theory of the I Ching. Hara Sensei became the first instructor of SJT, and he continues to practice and teach this modality. SJT is thought of as one of the most foremost acupuncture modalities in Japan and is quickly spreading and growing worldwide.

Osamu Hara Sensei graduated from Dokkyo University in 1979, with a degree in Economics, followed by a degree in Acupuncture and Moxabustion, graduating from Kanto Acupuncture College in 1983. He continued his studies to teach acupuncture, graduating from Tokyo Acupuncture Technical College in 1986.

In 1986 Hara Sensei began teaching Acupuncture and Moxabustion at Kanto Acupuncture College, and opened Seijo Ohkura Acupuncture Clinic, which is still a very active and thriving clinic in Tokyo. In addition to his esteemed career, Hara Sensei serves as Chief Instructor at Ryoutokuji Gakuen Medical College and Instructor at Goto College of Medical Arts and Science.
