New Class! 14 NCCAOM PDAs pending

This course presents the Five Phases as they were described in the Classical Texts of acupuncture and shows how they are even more necessary in modern times.  The foundation of this approach is how the basic theories of Yin-Yang polarity are applied to the categories of Five Phase correspondence.

Of special importance is how these levels elucidate a more comprehensive meaning for its corresponding Phase.  For example, it describes and organizes over 200 different psycho-emotional temperaments according to Yin, Yang, and Balance to facilitate their use in clinical practice.  It also describes the Hún and Pò in depth as examples of using acupuncture in treating psycho-spiritual aspects frequently seen in the clinic.

  • Introduces the Five Phase Categories of Correspondence on the Cosmological, Physiological, and Body/Mind/Spirit levels.
  • Shows how the Five Phases are generated from basic Yin-Yang polarity.
  • Provides a listing, description, and organization of over 200 psycho-emotional temperaments.
  • Details a complete description of the Hún and Pò, as well as the Spirit Functions of the other Phases.
